Collecting and using rainwater is a good way to conserve drinking water. It is extremely good to water plants in the garden, but also in the house. Because rainwater does not contain lime, it is even better for plants than tap water. Of course you can also wash your car with the rainwater and it will clean it perfectly.<\/span><\/p>

In this way you can save approximately 6,000 liters of drinking water per year with a rain barrel. There are wooden and plastic barrels. The content varies from 10 liters (!) to 230 liters. see picture <\/p>

You can easily connect the rain barrel, by means of a downspout filter<\/a> , to the downspout. These are available with \/ without a filter. Our drinking water is of excellent quality and actually too good to just use for plants, garden, car or even to flush the toilet.  Did you know<\/strong> that you use 15,000L of drinking water for the toilet per person per year?<\/span><\/p>\n

Did you know,<\/strong>  that on average 800 to 1000L of clean rain falls per m2 per year? That means about 80 to 100,000L on a roof of about 100m2!       The rain is of such a quality that it is easy to clean the whole<\/span>  to filter<\/a>  and save and start using!<\/span><\/p>\n

There are several options; from a simple small rain barrel to larger systems in plastic or concrete, from 1 m3,<\/a> 5 m3  up to even 60m3. To use the clean rainwater for toilet flushing (without limescale) or even for the washing machine (less soap needed) and for the garden of course. We recommend keeping a stock of at least<\/u> 1500L per person to bridge a drought of about 4-5 weeks.<\/p>\n
